My work involves quite a bit of reading, which means i have a very complicated relationship with it — distinguishing between reading for work and reading for pleasure is practically impossible. This is futher compounded by the fact that i really want to read more theory, and never end up reading as much as i'd like to, because i keep getting sidetracked by novels.
Regardless, i've decided to keep a log of the books i've been reading and i've compiled a list stretching back to 2024. Prior to '24, the list was mostly essays and parts of academic monographs, which is a bit of a pain to catalog. There were books in there somewhere, but i wasn't really keeping track.
Some of these books are re-reads, i have a terrible memory, even for my favourite books. Which is why i inevitably end up reading Xala almost every year
